I am a graduate of Georgetown University’s master of arts program in Communication, Culture & Technology (CCT), where I developed my interdisciplinary research skills.
As a media studies scholar, my primary research interests include online communities and virtual identity, queer theory, and pop culture analysis.
My master thesis is an analysis of how transgender Redditors build community and engage in counterpublic discourse in the midst of anti-trans violence and state-level public policies across the United States.
Prior to pursuing my master’s degree, I attended the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies, with a minor in Public Policy.

Although I still consider myself a media studies researcher and scholar, I currently work as a communication strategist at my day job.
